Jacob Ballas Children's Garden in the Botanic Gardens: free 4-hectare nature playground for kids 14 and under, with a 500 sq m water play area. Closed Mondays.

Free Hougang playgrounds for ages 2 to 12: the Buangkok Square Park water playground and kampung huts, Hougang Citrine's otter and fishing village, and a submarine.

HortPark on Alexandra Road has a free Nature Playgarden for ages 3 to 6, with a stream and bamboo dens, plus three small playgrounds and the Mini Mars net.

Far East Organization Children's Garden at Gardens by the Bay: free water play, two treehouses and a 130m trail for kids 12 and under, open Thursday to Sunday.
