Picnics, Parties and Group Visits at West Coast Park

NParks lists nine BBQ pits at West Coast Park, all in Area 2 near Car Park 2. Pits must be booked in advance through NParks or at an AXS station. The Grand Lawn in Area 3 covers about three hectares and suits picnic mats and kite flying.

Camping is allowed only in Area 3 and needs a permit from NParks or AXS, with a valid Singapore residential address. A small family picnic does not need a permit. Larger organised gatherings or events in a park may need NParks approval, so check with NParks before planning a party with decorations or hired equipment.

Preschool and school groups should come on a weekday morning, arrive by coach at Car Park 3 and keep the group at the pyramid and obstacle course, where teachers can see most of the children from one spot.
