No venue pays us. There are no sponsored placements, no paid rankings, no advertorials dressed up as reviews. When somewhere is not worth its price for a particular age group, we say so — that judgement is the only reason a guide like this is worth reading.

How we put a guide together

Every guide follows the same routine. Prices and session lengths come from the operator's own booking page, not from older blogs — which is how launch promotions from years ago end up still circulating as current rates. We record the floor area, the zone line-up and the age range a venue actually suits, which is often narrower than the one advertised. Then we read through recent parent reviews for the things operators leave out: how fast it fills up, whether there is anywhere comfortable for adults to sit, whether grip socks are included or sold separately.

Every guide carries the month its details were checked. Prices and opening hours in this industry change constantly, so we date our work and ask you to confirm on the operator's page before you travel.
